The strange thing about creating sketches is that you keep seeing mistakes you didn’t notice before. For instance, look at the lowest button (the one not in a buttonhole). In earlier versions the button was on the wrong side, as was the unused buttonhole. Correcting mistakes like these is what takes a lot of time.
Anyway, here are the flats for my illustration. I hope you like where this is going. I’m quite pleased and that worries me. Often it’s a sign of complacency. Argh!
